• The station listens to the meter's Speedwire multicast and picks the packets with the serial number entered in the Serial field. No IP address is needed.
• Multicast does not cross routers: station and meter must be in the same network segment. Managed switches with IGMP snooping may need the multicast group 239.12.255.254 allowed.
• Battery values are not available on this path. SMA inverters are not read.
